I love you. Those are meant to be the most powerful words that you can say to someone. I can say that to everyone as I love the true beauty that I see within each and every person that I meet. That is seeing everyone as they would be if they truly felt loved and accepted in this world. That type of love is an unconditional love that only comes from God. We experience this more and more as we learn how to better be in harmony with God and naturally start to show His love for the world to see. There is always a glimpse of this that we can see within everyone. That would be us being our best selves. Full of joy, loving, and walking on a journey with God to serve Him in a way that was personally made for each of us. Everyday we struggle along this journey to properly reflect Jesus and shine our lights as we continue to live in a dark world, one in which we face attacks each and every day. You will recognize these attacks as they stir up a negative feeling towards another being or induce doubt/fear on our path. This is all geared to break your connection from God and dull your light.
We are forever in a spiritual war as we battle to stay on the vine and strengthen our connection to God through the Holy Spirit. This connection is Jesus’ ultimate gift to us as it is each of our direct connections to God and each of our guidance from within. This is our opportunity to have a real relationship with God and trust in Him to teach us His ways in His time. To put one’s transformation in God’s hands and wash one’s hands of one’s own purification is the hardest part of this journey as we must fully let go of ourselves in order to give it all to God. We must seek to see things from God’s perspective as only He sees things from every perspective ever in existence. It is also the most rewarding experience as you gain understanding and begin to personally know God’s ways as you trust in His process for you. He is with us in every single moment ready with advice, encouragement, grace, and support. There is no greater gift in this world than God’s presence and unconditional love through the Holy Spirit as we walk this journey called life.
I believe that this is a connection that every human being ultimately craves at their core as we were each created to have a connection with Him. I believe that this world will one day be fully connected to Him, if we as Christians improve in playing our proper parts and step away from the parts that are God’s alone. We are called to love. That is it… as everything else stems from love. It is by loving that we reflect Him to others and serve as support/encouragement for them to draw closer to God. Loving starts with seeing everyone as our meant to be brothers and sisters in Christ. We should always be wanting to wave our brothers and sisters home. To encourage them to trust in God’s process for their lives and keep seeking Him through both their highs and lows. To remind them of God’s unpredictable and grace-filled process through Joesph, Job, David, Moses, Ruth and Jacob. To tell of Jesus’ many parables, miracles, and acts. To do what we can to ease their pains, heal our environments, and help make others feel more connected.
The one thing that love is not is judgement. Judgement is the opposite of love as it works to severe God’s connection to us. It is an attack on the other person’s relationship with God. We are called to reflect Him, our personal judgements misconstrue other’s perception of Him. It is the surest way to deny Christ as it is denying the gift of His sacrifice (salvation) to another. This type of attack on another individual puts pressure on that person to follow your expectation of them as opposed to following God’s acceptance and personalized direction. Judging is the most dangerous thing that we can do as we are called to love each other as ourselves. Judging reaps judgement and opens the door back up to a life of sin and death. We restart the vicious cycle of judging ourselves as we strive to pursue an unattainable perfection. Only Christ was born without sin, and He teaches us not to throw stones at each other.
I prefer to live a life of grace and trust in God’s teaching and guidance throughout my daily life. I am learning not to worry about my imperfections or the appearance of my growth. I trust in the process and keep the focus on my relationship with God. I am who I am meant to be in this moment and will end up being whoever He calls me to be in His time…. whether that is a sober vegetarian or partaker of so-called vices. Wherever I land on that spectrum, I will continue to love all others in recognition that God seeks and/or already has a relationship with them as well. I will strive to support and encourage others to deepen their connection by singing the praises of my savior, Jesus Christ. Salvation is found through Jesus alone as He opens the door to this relationship. He is the chain breaker by granting us a free life with the simple commandment to love. The more that we love and seek God, the more that we will be aware and full of His presence.
My hope is that each of you strive to love and seek His guidance on how to best do so each and every day. My hope is that we break away from prayers focused on the past and future in order to constantly pray in the present. God is always with you in the present, and He always loves you. Be present with Him. It is our duty to shine God’s light and lead others towards a true relationship with Him. It is our failing that the world has not yet woken up to Him as we have failed to properly reflect Him.
I believe that the cause of this is found in the Bible through an early Chrisitan compromise as our faith once again moved away from God’s path of salvation through Him alone to salvation through others opinions and interpretations. This happened just as the seeds of Christianity were just being planted. While I believe that the Bible is a true account of others experiences and words, I know that the only untainted teachings are to be found through Jesus’ words and actions as He is the Source and only true path. Every other letter and account is just like each of us… knowledgeable to the extent of our own personal hurdles and struggles. Our words will always hold both universal truths (God’s ultimate truth) and personal truths granted through God’s grace as we continue to seek and develop in our own relationship with Him. I still believe that we can correct this error and help make this world into what it was meant to be. One in which each individual is awake to their own connection and relationship with God. One in which we allow each other the liberty to trust in what God is saying and granting in each other’s lives.
Everything that I have done has been in service to our Creator stemming from prayers to one day live in a world in which we all share and rejoice in our connection to Him. This is why I unapologetically choose to love all as we are all meant to be each others’ brothers and sisters in Christ. The more that I love, the more that I see their good, the more that they will be able to see God reflected in me, and the more that the blocks in our connections will dissipate. Loving each other is all that we need to do, especially towards those that have harmed us. Our forgiveness is one of God’s strongest healing balms as it shines a light on God’s path of forgiveness as they learn to better seek it. The moment that we as Christians fail to forgive is the moment that we stop properly reflecting Him to the world.
Everyone that has harmed me either in thought or action has my personal forgiveness. I encourage each of you to extend, seek and accept this from all.
Peace be with you.
